In recent months we have had some very special visits to MONA. Great people we admire a lot and who also dedicate their lives to working for primates.
Last November we were invited to attend the TIFIES Plan Conference (Spanish Action Plan against Illegal Trafficking and Poaching of Wild Species), within the General Assembly of EnviCrimeNet, a network of European Law Enforcement Agencies, Police officers and other crime fighters working together against the environmental crime. (LIFE+ SATEC Project).
These last few months have also brought us a sad farewell. We noticed that Abu was gradually fading away, and all the veterinary tests brought back bad news.
Bye to the circus and years of loneliness. Suzie is already at MONA, the end of a case that started 11 years ago.
El Venadito, , the art exhibition against animal cruelty, in its 4th edition, reinvents itself by creating a new exhibition format.
The abuse of primates is the central topic of this new open call organised by the artistic space siNesteSia and Centre Cultural la FARINERA del CLOT in collaboration with FUNDACIÓ MONA.
The call for artists will be open from 21 September 2021 to 15 January 2022. For more detailed information please visit the website of the collaborating entities or contact s sinestesia.uno@gmail.com
Montserrat Pérez, creator of the project and curator of siNesteSia, proposes a new idea for the fourth edition of El Venadito. To reach as many people as possible, the art pieces will be placed outside the exhibition hall of the different participating centres and entities, mostly in corridors and waiting rooms. La Farinera del Clot will organize the different locations that this year are joining the project..
