Working for primate welfare and conservation
Making the most of their days off to visit places in the Girona area, and at the same time ending up with three or four 30-litre bags full of plastic, cans, cigarette butts and all kinds of rubbish collected during the day. This is what the young team of the European Solidarity Corps, volunteers of the MONA Foundation, have been doing over the last few months.
February 26th is the 20th anniversary of our first rescue. We have been 20 years working for the protection and welfare of primates and this is something to celebrate! And since we can’t meet, we invite you to a special online and live event on Saturday 27th February:
When we thought about how to celebrate our 20th anniversary, it was clear: with you! Because this achievement is a shared success. Because it is together that, since 2001, we have been changing lives.
We quickly started to think about how to celebrate it and, among the various surprises we have prepared this Instagram contest.
As every year, the Day of the Volunteers of “la Caixa” arrives, but this time, it will be a little different. On Saturday 27 June, the first Digital Volunteer Day will take place, an online meeting with a wide variety of interesting proposals and which all the volunteers will be able to access, from anywhere, through their computer or mobile phone.

The study of the behavior of primates is one of the fundamental sciences for the understanding of the evolution and genesis of human behavior, as well as for the conservation of these species in the wild and their care in captivity in the best well-being conditions.
