Olga Feliu nominated for “Vallesà 2017” for the defence of chimpanzees
The newspaper EL 9 NOU announces the 12th edition of the “Vallesà of the year” award and Olga Feliu, general director of Fundació Mona, has been selected as a candidate to win it for her work in defence of chimpanzees.
In 2000, Olga, wiht Amparo Barba and Manel Maraña, founded Fundació Mona. Since then at the Rescue Centre in Riudellots de la Selva, Mona has worked for the welfare of primates through rescue and rehabilitation, education and training of environmental professionals.
The deadline for voting is 18 May and the winner of the “Vallesà 2017” Prize will be announced on 1 June 2018 at the Cultural Centre of the “Torreta de Montmeló”.
