What is it like a Working Holiday at MONA?
This activity is designed for those people who love primates. Our Short stays offer a unique experience, because we are the first primate rescue center in Europe to open its doors so that participants can see and experience the daily life of chimpanzees and macaques rescued by MONA firsthand and contribute to their welfare.
What do you do on your Working Holiday?
Be a part of the MONA care-giving team for a few days. You will collaborate under the supervision and training of the most experienced caregivers in all the tasks that are performed on a day to day basis. Activities include preparation of the primates’ diets, preparation of enrichment activities, construction of hammocks and new structures, observation and data collection, collaboration in cleaning bedrooms, access to restricted areas to see how chimpanzees eat dinner and how they nest for the night… and so much more!
When and how do I sign up?
The activity can take place any day of the week, all year round. Please contact us directly to check availability and reserve your short stay.
